Ukiyo-E Heroes (Illustrations by Jed Henry)
Digging in the vast deep internet, I have recently found the artwork of this illustrator: Jed Henry, who teamed up with “Woodblock Printmaker” David Bull for the making of these parody illustrations of videogames called: “Ukiyo-E Heroes”.The classical game characters including: Mario Bros, Donkey Kong, Starfox, Street Fighter, Pokémon, The Legend of Zelda, etc. Has been taken to the past with a medieval outfit, making a reference to the japanese culture in the past.
This is very awesome!

My grandpa has Alzheimer’s so he has no idea who my grandma is but everyday for the last three or four months he brings her in flowers from their garden and asks her to run away with him and be his wife and everyday she says she already is and everyday the smile my grandpa gets on his face is the most beautiful heartfelt thing I have ever seen.

AND THAT’S WHY WE SAY “GOODBYE”
BECAUSE OF 16TH CENTURY CHAT SPEAK
Seems plausible. I’ll raise you this: in Spanish “adios” literally means “to god” or “God be with you.”

Sleeping Beauty
It’s been a while since I posted some work, but here’s a concept I did remaking the Sleeping Beauty fairy tale in a fantasy India. There were a lot of issues and in the end I’m not totally satisfied with how everything from the project turned out, but these are the drawings I was still pleased by, so I thought I’d post them here!
